Description: Red Maple Burl, 10" diameter x 10" tall. Finished with Danish oil, Mohawk sanding sealer and gloss lacquer. The gloss was cut back to a satin finish then hand rubbed to achieve the final sheen.

The greenish color in the bark comes from lichens which were growing throughout. The artist wanted to incorporate this natural palette into the piece.
