Description: This is a thin-walled, 17" tall, segmented vessel, constructed of myrtlewood, canarywood, and ebony. All images were created by piercing the vessel wall.
There are 21 children, 22 adults, 1 dog, 3 butterflies, 1 antelope, 3 bears, 3 deer, 2 moose, 5 turtles, 2 zebras, 2 penguins, 2 whales, 4 ducks, 2 eagles, 5 geese, 4 rabbits, 4 fish, 3 giraffes, 3 hippos, 3 elephants, 2 herons, 3 kangaroos, 2 seahorses, 2 squirrels, 2 horses, and 1 stork with delivery, (sorry, no partridge in a pear tree).
This piece is currently in a private collection.
